Old firmware on brand new drive

Hi,

I just got a new 64Gb Falcon II drive through an RMA request and installed the OS on it (everything OK so far). Thought I'd check the firmware version and according to the HardwareId field in the properties of the drive it is version 1916.

I would have thought that any new drives coming from the manufacturer would at least have the latest firmware installed. Why isnt 2030 installed?

The Falcon Series has been discontinued, so some RMA replacements may be older stock. Upgrade to the latest firmware and you should be ready to go.
