  • Phoenix SSD Firmware 2.1 Smart command failure

After I updated the firmware on my G.skill Phoenix 60BD SSD the message "Smart command failed" would appear every time I started up PC (did not occur on two other computers that I tried the drive in). In addition to this there were some blocks that had been identified as bad and reallocated. Speaking with people at G.skill this is a firmware fault and the Smart error message is displayed on some motherboards.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you try to resolve it?

    what helps?

downgrade to FW 2.0 is everything you can do for now...

... I pray every minute that gskill takes this serious and gets busy on this....

I decided to go with the gskill instead of corsair force f60 or ocz vertex2 and now this

the SSD was to expensive just to wait for something to happen... so far I did not use it at all
