G.Skill Faclon II firmware upgrade problems

Hello, The problem is the drive won't show up in the flash screen.

My computer is currently suffering from problems where application just freeze for 30-60 seconds at a time.

Windows 7 64-bit OS Pro
i7 860, 8gb ddr3, gigabyte board, xfx 5770

Ran the program as admin
I threw out the original jumper probably, so I just used one that I had lying around. I assume that it would work if not, please let me know if I need something specifc.
The jump is a three pronged one that was used to connect to a HDD for an LED light on a computer case.

That is not a jumper, try and find an old IDE hard drive or CD-ROM or even an old motherboard and steal one for the firmware update.

Remember, you don't run the program as admin.. you have to RIGHT click, and select "Run as Administrator".
