I have this drive installed as my OS with Win 7. MB is Asus P5E. Have experienced the following so far:
1. First setup a clean install of Win 7 and using AHCI mode. Install went fine and all but that night put the computer to sleep and in the moring it had corrupted the OS.
2. Did another clean install of Win 7 and this time tried IDE mode. All has been well so far (have not been game enough to try to sleep again and instead turn fully off as desired) except when I leave the computer for a while without input. I have high performance mode set with no power offs at all (i.e. hard disk = always on along with everything else) yet, for example, if i turn the monitor off and leave the computer idle for some time then when i return the pc is frozen for 30 seconds or so. The mouse cursor can be moved on screen but no input is valid and the same with the keyboard (no input valid)... after about 30 seconds the computer will respond normally again (respoding to the last input from mouse or keyboard).
This appears to be something to do with the SSD drive as with a normal sata drive response is instant always.
Anyone have any ideas why this happens or how to fix it?
Are there any general issues using SSD's and sleep mode?
Lastly one other strange thing I have noticed and only when the SSD drive is used as the main OS is when browsing (windows picture viewer) many pictures on a second sata drive there are long pauses often between clicking next... this also only happens when using the SSD as the OS drive... with 2 sata drives everything is smooth and instantly responsive.
