  • Fail Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 6800Mhz ;6800J3445G16GX2-TZ5RS

Hello, I have Trident z5 rgb 6800 mhz (4x16gb), before I had a 13900k with strix z790-a ddr5, the xmp 1 and 2 worked perfectly without ever having crashed. I received a 14900k to replace the 13900k and suddenly if I activate the xmp everything crashes or does not start or black screen. If I leave on JEDEc by default no worries. someone to help me?

If it is specific to the 14900K, then it sounds more of a CPU (memory controller) issue. Running full slots can be hit and miss, since that is outside of guaranteed compatibility. I'd recommend reducing the memory frequency a step or two, until the system does reliably start and then test it for stability afterwards.

I just did the test and I removed 2 bars, so I am in A2/B2 and I no longer have XMP problems. I tested the other 2 bars and I have a blue screen and on memtest I have 1468 errors. I will RMA this kit.
