Upgrade from 16GB to 32GB possible?

My system;
AUS ROG CROSSHAIR VII (WiFi) X470
16GB F4-3200C14D-16GFX
Ryzen 7 2700X

The 16GB (2x8) memory kit is not listed in Asus QVL although (obviously) successfully running well. However, the 32GB (4x8) kit is listed in the QVL.
I can't see any explicit answers from ASUS documentation but is it possible to upgrade my system with another 2x8GB kit to fill all four slots?

In other words, is 2x F4-3200C14D-16GFX equivalent to 1x F4-3200C14Q-32GFX

It is possible but there are no guarantees since the modules of each kit were not tested together from factory. As a result, it is up to the user to test and see what they can do together in a system. A single 32GFX kit has been matched and tested to work together from factory so results are guaranteed, it should have no problem reaching DDR4-3200 CL14 1.35V with a capable CPU and compatible motherboard.
