Hi everyone, my name is Sean and I'm new member to your forum. I hope you guys don't mind, but I really need a little help with something.
I am in the process of building my very first computer which consists of:
CASE - NZXT SWITCH 810 BLACK
MOTHERBOARD - ASUS RAMPAGE IV EXTREME
PROCESSOR - Intel Core i7-3930K
CPU COOLER - Corsair Hydro Series H100
VIDEO CARD - ASUS GTX570 DirectCU II graphics card
MEMORY - G.SKILL (F3-14900CL9Q2-32GBZL)
SSD - Intel 520 Series 240 GB SATA 6 Gb/s 2.5-Inch Solid-State Drive (X1)
HDD - Western Digital Caviar Black 2 TB (X2)
POWER SUPPLY - Cooler Master Silent Pro Hybrid 1050W
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PLEASE excuse me but I'm a newbie at this so I must ask someone
The PROCESSOR states: Memory Types---DDR3-1066/1333/1600 and Max Memory Size (dependent on memory type) is 64 GB.
The MOTHERBOARD states: 8 x DIMM, Max. 64GB, DDR3 2400(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory, Quad Channel Memory Architecture and Supports Intel? Extreme Memory Profile (XMP).
The MEMORY states:
Specification
Quad Channel Memory Designed For Intel X79 platform
Intel XMP 1.3 Ready
System Desktop
System Type DDR3
M/B Chipset
Intel X79
CAS Latency 9-10-9-28-2N
Capacity
32GB (4GB x8)
Speed DDR3-1866 (PC3 14900)
Test Voltage 1.5 Volts
Height 40 mm / 1.58 inch
Registered/Unbuffered Unbuffered
Error Checking Non-ECC
Type 240-pin DIMM
Warranty Lifetime
Features Intel XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) Ready.
My question is, considering the speed of the memory is 1866 and the specifications of the Processor is rated up to 1600, Do you think that I would have any compatibility issues with this system, or would everything be OK due to the specs of the Motherboard?
Any help that you can give will be very much appreciated, Thanks again.
