Had alot of BSODs before I figured out this may be memory - After the initial purchase of the parts I didn't do any manual configuration of the memory and the initial install went thru w/out much of a hitch but since then I've seen problems. Finally downloaded a memtest86 and booted up to it to find hundreds of thousands of memory errors in a single pass. Perused some of your threads and now backed default mem config from 'Turbo' (1600) to 'Standard' (1333). Enabled XMP and set voltage to 1.53v. tCL9-tRCD9-tRP9-rRAS24.
I should say that I'd first increased the voltage which brought the memtest errors down to 10's of thousands instead of 100's of thousands. I then enabled XMP Profile1 which took w/out a hitch & manually set the standard timings. I still was seeing too many errors come up too quickly but didn't go through a complete pass, so I set DDR to 1333Mhz where I am down to 341 errors on the first pass.
Good 'nuff for government work? My motherboard manual is here. Setting the standard timing to 9-9-9-24 on pg. 42 is about as far as I got.
Thank you.
