  • F3-10666CL9T2-24gbrl and GA-Z68X-UD7-B3

    Hi,
will buy a PC and have a question of compatibility between a Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD7-B3 Motherboard and F3-10666CL9T2-24gbrl (have it from a friend).

The cpu is an i7 2600k.

It's possible to use 16gb because of the motherboard.
Will use 4x4gb from the 24gb package.

Will use the pc for audio recording, no games (only once o twice a week, if a have time...)

There's some advices I've must to pay attention for this combination?
It's possible to use it togheter??

Do you have some alternative for 24gb or 32gb for this motherboard???

Thank you so much for your attention.
    Dario (asargut)

Ps: sorry about my english (I'm form Argentina)

Your mobo and CPU can easily handle 16GB, and those sticks should work. I'd try that before going for more to see if you'll need more as 16GB is normally more than sufficient for most anyone. If however you do need more, I'd suggest going 32GB 4x8GB preferable with the Ripjaws X line of sets or possibly the Ripjaws Z, can see some here:

Thank you for your quick answer!
      I think 16gb is enough.
Must to pay attention for something when I'll install it on the mobo?
      thank you again!

Should pretty much be plug and play, may want to make sure you have the latest BIOS, but otherwise, I'd just install and give it a go...if you do encounter any problems give us a shout, I'll be in and out over the holidays
