    Used method 2.

In Win 7 64b, CPUID shows:

    DRAM Freq: 800 MHz
    FSB : DRAM 1:4
    CL: 8
    tRCD: 8
    tRP: 8
    tRAS: 24
    tRC: 39
    CT: 2T

    but in bios it shows:
    ddr3-1600(800MHz)
    tCL: 13
    tRCD: 13
    tRP: 13
    tRAS: 35
    tRC: 48

    which is to be believed?

I'll play with it more tomorrow, going to bed now hopefully can get this set up tomorrow morning.

You looking at the SPD tab or the Memory tab in CPU-Z? The memory tab will tell you the settings it's running at

CPU-z looks correct. Where in BIOS are you looking? How is the memory configured? The memory will operate only at what it is set to, so check that, make sure it is correct, and you should be fine.

          Thank you

Ok cool, if cpuz is showing correctly then I'll assume it's right.

            In bios it's:

            OC Settings -> Memory-z -> dimm1 memory spd

            and that's where it's showing cas 13.

Thanks for all the advice on memory sticks and help with setting it up

That is showing one of the possible SPD settings, the SPD is basically the programming in the sticks for different preset timing ranges

ahhh ok, that makes sense then. Strange that was the only value I saw in the bios for the memory other than what I manually set myself. Would've thought the bios would show what it was currently running at as well. Well, it showed it was @ 1600 but that was it, didn't show anything else...

The settings you input are what it will show as running, whatever was there before you entered them manually was what it was at
