memory compatibility Question

I am building my first system. I have a Asus M4A87TD mobo with AMD phenom II x4 955 processor and I bought F3-12800CL9D 8GB memory. Asus user guide doesn't show that memory as specifically compatible. I'm learning as I go so I appreciate your help.

There's a sticky for setting up 1600 sticks on the AMD platform here:

you may however need to drop the sticks to 1333 and the 955 doesn't handle 1600 very well. if things won't go at 1600 can drop the sticks to 1333, with base timings at 8-8-8-24 and they should work fine
