  • AMD mobo and ram compatability

    Hi i just bought a ASUS Crosshair V Formula/Thunderbolt AM3+ AMD 990FX
I was wondering if the G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) is going to be compatible with this board. Or if there are any other 2133 sticks that are.

    Dimms

There's a few different RipjawsX set in 2x4GB, and all should be fine with your mobo, just make sure you get a CPU that can handle 2133, like the new 8150, unless you plan to underclock them

Is this the CL9 or CL11 set?
I'm running the CL9 set on my CH5F, now at 2015MHz 24/7 stable.
Can run at 2100 with my 1090T, but requires some special tweaking.
