  • More RAM questions

    I've bought 2x4GB 'Sniper' DDR3 1600 (OC) modules at 1.25V.

Because of memeory issues mentioned in aprevious thread, it was suggested that I set the frequency in the AMI BIOS to 1333MHz.

However, people on an ASUS forum suggest that I select 800MHz from the Memclock Value options (2x800 = 1600) top get 1600MHz, so which one do I use?

I've also been told that the BIOS on the m'board will not allow me to select 1.25V, the minimum it allows is 1.5V. I thought that G.Skill RAM modules were compatible with DDR3 m'boards, which the Asus m'board is. What do I do now?????

What mobo do you have? What CPU? Do you have the latest BIOS on the mobo?

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

800MHz will be fine, just make sure CPU-NB Frequency is 2400MHz (12X)

If your motherboard does not support 1.25V, 1.50V is fine. To use up some of that voltage, try lowering timings to 8-8-8-24.
