  • F3-12800CL9T-12GBRL Asus Rampage III Formula

I recently updated my BIOS, but I was dumb and didn't check my RAM settings first and now I can't get the timing correct. I have a set of F3-12800CL9T-12GBRL in my Asus Rampage III Formula board and a 980X at stock speeds (until I can get the RAM correct) and I used to have these RAM running at the advertised 1600 speed, but now I can only get them stable at 1333. I've spent all day searching for the post that helped me get them working before, but I have yet find it. There are plenty of suggestions, but none have worked. I know that there were some voltage increases to other parts of the board to make the RAM run at 1600, but I've been fiddling with that all day to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's my stable readings that currently work as XMP enters in the 9-9-9-24 timings, the 1.5V and 1600 speed, but doesn't boot even when using other suggested timings on this forum:

    CPU: 3.33
    BCLK: 133
    (everything on AUTO)
    Speed: 1333
    tCL: 9
    tRCD: 9
    tRP: 9
    tRAS: 24
    tRRD: 4
    tRFC: 107
    tWR: 10
    tRTP:7
    tFAW: 20
    Timing: 1N
    QPI Voltage: 1.71
    DRAM Voltage: 1.601
    CPU Voltage: 1.151
    PLL Voltage: 1.812
    ICH Voltage: 1.111

OK, first, your QPI Voltage is out of this world. Please lower that as it can damage your CPU. Set it to 1.10V.

Then change the rest of the values:

    CPU: 3.33
    BCLK: 133
    (everything on AUTO)
    Speed: 1600
    tCL: 9
    tRCD: 9
    tRP: 9
    tRAS: 24
    tRRD: 6
    tRFC: 107
    tWR: 12
    tRTP:7
    tFAW: 20
    Timing: 1N
    QPI Voltage: 1.10
    DRAM Voltage: 1.50

    Thank you

QPI was a typo, It should have read 1.17. I've tried those timings you gave me but they still don't work. Any other suggestions?

Test one at a time to see if one may be bad causing issues. If all work fine, try QPI Voltage 1.20V
