Ripjaws x vs sniper

Hi,

I have a pair of snipers in my system 1600 cl9 2*4gb
I saw that the ripjaws x 1600 cl8 2*4gb were discounted on an online merchant website.
what is the difference (except timing) on those 2 sets?
what are the differences between the sniper and ripjaws x?

I'm using a z68 chipset and 2500k

They may use different chips, the CL8 is better.

Other than that, obivously the heat spreaders are different.
