  • Configuring BIOS F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD Asus P6T Intel i7-920

    Hello GSKill Forums,

I am just wondering what the CORRECT settings should be for an out-of-the-box setup with no overclocking. Specifically, I am looking for the BIOS setup. Any help - greatly appreciated!

    My system configuration is:

    Intel Core i7-920 2.66GHz LGA 1366
    Asus P6T LGA 1366 Intel X58 Motherboard
    2x [G.Skill Trident 3GB DDR3-2000 / PC3-1600 (F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD)]
    1x [EVGA Geforce GTX 480 Superlocked 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5 Video Card]
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit edition

I did perform a search but could not find any out-of-the-box settings, so my apologies if this is a redundant question. Is utilizing the X.M.P option the best route to go?

Yep, enable XMP and set the DRAM to the desired speed from the options

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

      Memory Timing

XMP will work. However, try setting bios to manual instead of xmp. Then manually set memory timing to 1600 at 8-8-8-24, 2N, not 2000: leave other mem settings on auto. Then go back and set memory voltage to 1.6 and check QPI/DRAM and CPU PLL is not auto set larger than it has to be.

This is underclocking but very snappy.

You could also try at 1600: 7-8-7-24, 1N.

For XMP @ 9-9-9-24, 2N: There should have been a slip of paper in with the memory that said for ASUS motherboards, manually set "read to Pre time" to 7. See Bios: Dram Timing Control

      Sent you PM.
