I have compatibility question on using a F3-10600CL9S-4GBSQ on a HP 630 notebook to upgrade from 4 to 8gb. The computer locks up requiring a hard reset to recover after a random period with the 8 gb installed. The computer recognizes the full 8gb when I use control panel. The compatibility checker on the gskill web site is down so I cannot check if there is a known compatibility issue or if I just got unlucky and got a defective SO-DIMM.
The drivers appear to be up to date on the notebook as of a few days ago, although I just now uploaded a revision to the graphics driver and will reinstall the extra memory to see if it works in a few minutes.
The specs on the HP 630 LV970UT are as follows:
Memory installed 4GB
