Compatibility Question

i know that the F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL is "Designed Specifically for Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs, H67 and P67 Platforms". However it doesn't specify about earlier motherboards. I am about to purchase a pair of 4 gigs, and I want to make sure its compatible with my P55.

GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3 LGA 1156 Intel P55

Is it compatible?
