  • F3-17000cl9d-8gbxld + ga-p67a-ud7

I just dropped F3-17000CL9D-8GBXLD into my Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7. The DIMMS are in slots 2 and 4. I am using BIOS F7.

By default it runs at 1600MHz. It passes Memtest x86+ for 8 hours without any errors. When I switch the XMP profile, the system POSTs at 2132MHz. However, as soon as Memtest starts, it starts bombing with errors.

I tried upping the QPI/VTT Voltage all the way up to 1.2V, still the same issue.

Do I have faulty DIMMS? Thoughts/Solutions?

May have to raise QPI/VTT some more, w/ 8GB may also want to raise the DRAM voltage a tad maybe add .02

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

Same results with QPI/VTT of 1.24 (which seems pretty high) and DRAM 1.68.

      Other ideas?

Have you tried the other two slots?

        Thank you

The system fails to post in the other two slots.

Try inputting settings manually to see if that works better. Also, if you can post pictures of BIOS I can see if anything is set incorrectly.

I tried setting the values manually, same results.

              Please see attached bios images.

For DDR3-2133+, it may require 1.35V for QPI/VTT to stabilize. If you are hesitant, you can slowly work your way up.

Since DDR3-1600 works fine, check to see what the QPI/VTT is. Then go up to DDR3-1800 to see what it is.. then 2000+. This way you know you are not over volting, so no harm can be done.

                  Thank you

I just started playing with P67A-UD7 as well http://i4memory.com/f90/intel-core-i...67a-ud7-28274/, try F7e, F7f or F8x bioses as well. I'm testing F8x bios right now. Also could be the cpu's memory controller not being able to handle it.
