Performance wise, not freq, 1333/8 is close to 1600/9......do you have the latest BIOS/ System should be able to run 1600 sticks

Yeah i understand performance wise. Bios was updated to the latest build which is current as of 3/2012.
Yeah it should run 1600 fine, and i have never came across an issue like this.
If i set the BIOS to auto detect and timings on memory it defaults to 1333 obviously.
But if i set it to 1600 and manual timings of 9-9-9-24 i get the mouse issue.
If i set to 1600 and let the bios auto set timings i dont get the mouse issue but CPUz tells me the freq is 800 mhz (which is what its suppose to say) with timings set to 9-11-11-29 (which is i guess what the BIOS set it to) AIDA64 looks like it is saying they are still at 1333
The reason i never tried to set it to 1600 and let the BIOS auto set the timings like this is because it conflicts with what timings are said to be used (the 9-9-9-24 as stated in thread)
so having no mouse issues with 1600 @ 9-11-11-29 (auto set by bios) is this OK? And will it preform at the rated speed with these settings?
Thanks

mouse is fine like i said at mem settings set to 1600 w /auto timings. So no more mouse issue (was not drivers tried them all and multiple wireless mouse from different manufacturers) and happy about that now.
My important question was the timings that were set to auto by the BIOS
9-11-11-29 <------ is this acceptable and will it run as rated for performance on 1600?
I'm asking because this conflicts with what they are suppose to be ran at (9-9-9-24) Because setting them to 9-9-9-24 causes issues for me.
Only answer i need at this point is if its ok to be running these at 9-11-11-29 performance wise (will i get 1600 performance as well as the 9-9-9-24 timings that don't work well for me). Sorry for any confusion. Thanks again and this will be my final post.

May have to set them manually, if BIOS not reading them correct. AMD BIOSs don't always set theing correct, especially at 1600 and above, in part because may of their CPUs have trouble at 1600 and above so they tend to want looser timings

Hello all,
I need some help; I followed this guide to the letter to no avail, even setting both my CPU-NB and my NB to 1.20v still I get an error in the Prime95 blend test.
And what's worse, I can't even run my F3-12800CL9-4GBXL @ 1333Mhz in 8-8-8-24, it gives me an error in the Prime95 blend test.AMD Phenom II X4 965 B.E. / CM Hyper 212+

Still no success. I set the voltage in the BIOS to 1.515 and then the BIOS show that the RAM is @ 1.500v but on Windows AIDA64 reports 1.488 while CPUID Hardware Monitor reports 1.49. I tried running them @ 9-8-8-24 2T and still got an error. AIDA64 shows: 609MHz @ 8-8-8-22. ?Is that 1333mhz?
This is starting to really get on my nerves, something here is not working properly.
My CPU-NB and HT Link get automatically set to 2000mhz and when I use the "profile1" on my ram it sets them manually to that speeds aswell. Everything is stock and on auto, except my CPU voltage that I undervolted to 1.275 (is stable).
The ONLY way to this RAM is stable is @ 1600MHz 9-9-9-24.
There is also a lot more options on the RAM page ?n the BIOS. When I set it to auto and then 1333mhz and changes some. ?Do I have to manually set all those other too?
Can a G.Skill Tech please look into this and assist me, because I'm on the point of returning this RAM sticks to my retailer as faulty.Last edited by Tiki; 05-30-2012, 10:32 PM.AMD Phenom II X4 965 B.E. / CM Hyper 212+

BIOS isn't setting things right, do you have the latest BIOS? and also what CPU are you running? and if possible post your BIOS settings - the DRAM timings, system settings and voltages, the .jpg you posted doesn't really give us any info....I'll drop GSkill tech a note to take a look, but he too, will need the info to work with....

I have the latest BIOS, the F7.
Is a Phenom II 965 C3.

Those are the settings that I was using for since I bought my whole PC, that gets set on when the use the XMP profile for 1600mhz, the only thing I changed CT to 1t from 2T.
Since I wasn't overclocking I decided to set the ram to 1333MHz to get lower latencies, hence all this hassle started.AMD Phenom II X4 965 B.E. / CM Hyper 212+

Ahh, hassle because one too many changes were made. Notice Row Cycle Time, it is set to 12 when it should be 39T-40T.
What CPU are you using?
Load BIOS defaults, then only change DRAM Frequency DDR3-1333, DRAM Timings 8-8-8-24, DRAM Voltage 1.50V
Let me know the result.
Thank you

I have the Phenom II 965 C3 and a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 rev 1.1.
?Could it be that the XMP 1600mhz profile saved bad values, if it did, how can I reset it?
Current new values, I type this as I run Prime95 Blend test.Last edited by Tiki; 05-31-2012, 01:48 PM.AMD Phenom II X4 965 B.E. / CM Hyper 212+
