  • F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD vs F3-16000CL9T-6GBTDD

    Hi,
I was just wondering if there is any major differences between these two...

    F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD
    http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=188

    F3-16000CL9T-6GBTDD
    http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=327

They both appear to be Tridents and looking at the specs they're near identical but one is listed as having a dram voltage of 1.6 while the other of 1.65, the timings are identical as well at 9-9-9-24-2N (although the pc shop I'm looking at lists this as 9-9-9-27?)

A friend and I currently have 6GB of F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD installed in each of our PC's and they're running great at spec (2006Mhz) and we're looking to upgrade to 12GB each, however it's near impossible to find this RAM anymore so am looking at F3-16000CL9T-6GBTDD instead.

If need be we're thinking of sticking 12GB of F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD in one machine and 12GB of F3-16000CL9T-6GBTDD in the other.

    Thanks for your help

They are essentially the same, the TDD just comes with a fan.

The main issue you guys will have is whether two 6GB kits can work together. Triple channel motherboards can be very picky, so you will need to test kits to see if they can work together.

If the two kits you guys have can work together, one person may be able to get this:

It is typically out of stock, but available today.

    Thank you
