Asus m4a88td-v evo + f3-12800cl9d-4gbrl

I'm checking out a combo deal on a merchant website and they have a ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO paired with F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL. Is this set compatible? The combo also comes with a 1075t Phenom II x6.

Also, I am curious if I could set these to cl7 if I keep them clocked at 1333. Are there any special BIOS settings I need to be aware of to get this combination to work?

No problem at all, but CL7 will be tough. CL8 is no problem, but CL7 will probably require high voltage.

7-8-7-24 1.65V may be feasible..

I have heard that on AMD platform that it is better to run memory at slower clock speeds but tighten the timings. Is that the case? Will this set run better at cl9 1600 or lower to 1333 and tighten the timings?

You can try both, and use a benchmark test to see which is exactly faster/better for your needs.
