  • Need Bios settings i7 930 p6x58d Premium ddr3-2000

    CPU: i7 930
    Motherboard: p6x58d Premium
    gSkill Memory: f3-1600CL9T-6GBRH (DDR3-2000)
    Windows 7 x64

I had it running at 2000 But would get BSOD When running AVS Video Converter. if I go back to everything auto its fine

I have 3 Questions With #1 the most important at the moment Since I have only a stock fan.
1.) What would be the Settings for my configuration to run the memory at 2000Mhz with stock CPU Fan. No Memory Fans
2.) What is a good Fan for the CPU and Memory if I would want to Over Clock
3.) What are the Bios setting I would need for my Configuration with the better CPU fan Kit and Memory Fan Kit already installed.
    Thanks Mitch

Gskill might have these types of settings handy, I'll have to check into it - will try and get something on Sun

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

        1) DDR3-1600, 7-7-7-24, 1.60V. Input that in BIOS and you should be ready to go.

        2) CPU fan, Thermalright Ultra 120, True Black, Silver Arrow / Prolimatech Megahalem

Memory fan, the G.Skill Turbulence II

        3) Enable XMP, then find the precise QPI/DRAM Core Voltage needed to stabilize DDR3-2000

        Thank you

            I tried
            1) DDR3-1600, 7-7-7-24, 1.60V. Input that in BIOS and you should be ready to go.
Ran prime95 for 64bit and it blue screened with in 1 minute.
then increased the voltage to 1.6250
It blue screened again after 2 minutes Should I keep trying to increase the voltage?
here is my Settings can you look it over and suggest anything?

Could I overclock a little with stock fan or just rum ddr3-2000 with correct settings?

              NooOOOoOooOoOOOOOOooOoOooo haha

              QPI/DRAM Core Voltage......should be AUTO.

              DRAM Bus Voltage............. = [1.60V]

Also, DRAM Timing Mode............. = [1N or 2N]

              Thank you

                OK I corrected that to:
                QPI/DRAM Core Voltage......should be AUTO.
                DRAM Bus Voltage............. = [1.60V]
Also, DRAM Timing Mode............. = [1N or 2N] used 1N

loaded prime95 it ran then had an error and stopped (unloaded) I loaded it again then BSOD rebooted and hear I'm

Try 2N, then one module at a time to make sure all modules are error free.

Do you have the latest BIOS? Those settings should work flawlessly..

Post the 1st Information numbers so I can check advanced timings.

I have the latest bios got it yesterday

                    1st info is
                    1st Information: 7-7-7-24-5-88-12-8-24-0

I ran prime 95 again lasted 3 minutes then it stopped with application stopped windows is finding a solution then a close application and here I'm

Going to test each stick now

Ran 1 Pass on each stick with memtest+ Boot-able CD
                      all Passed
then put all sticks in 3 of them and did another test got this 2 errors

then I rebooted and got a overclocking failed error

                        Try DRAM Voltage 1.65V

                        Thank you

1.65 gave me a warning. put it on 1.64v and did 1 1/2 passes

Took this if it helps lowered back down to 1.60v's by the way after above test

Try higher timings like 8-8-8-24. If the same problem persists, the modules may be slightly defective. I can't see why else they are not working properly.

                            Thank you

That did it got 2 passes and no errors with 1.60 volts and 8-8-8-24

Does that mean I'm good to go and how does it effect me from running 2000mhz?

What would I have to do to achieve 2000?
