    Hi,

I have built a box with the motherboard Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3 and AMD Phenom x6 1090T BE, with the memory kit Ripjaws F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM (2Gx2).
The timings of the memory are : 7-8-7-24-2N - 1.6v
    So I have set these settings in the BIOS : x8 1600Mhz - 7-8-7-24-2T - DDRAM voltage : 1.6v
All the others values are set with default values (auto).

My setup is it correct ?
Have I got to modify the NB voltage from 1.1v to 1.2v ?

    Thanks.

If it is unstable, then yes you need to.

    Thank you

      Thanks for your reply.
After reading the forum, I have set all SPD values (in SPD column in the BIOS) except the 7-8-7 (SPD values are 9-9-9).
      Now my settings in the BIOS are : x8 1600Mhz - 7-8-7-24-1T-[SPD Values] - DDRAM voltage : 1.6v
I will run an OCCT test tonight to see if my system is stable.

My system has passed with success the OCCT test (Large Data Set).

          I attached CPU-Z and OCCT screenshots :

If needed, I can take a photo of my BIOS settings.

              Hi,
I have passed with success a MemTest without problem.
Here the settings and timings I have set :
              x8 1600Mhz
              CL: 7
              tRCD : 8
              tRP : 7
              tRAS : 24
              tRC : 31
              CR : 2T
              DDRAM voltage : 1.6v

              Why tRC set to 31 ? because the forumula is : tRC = tRAS + tRP, so (31 = 24 + 7).
All the other settings have been reset to their AUTO values in the BIOS.

Using 1T, OCCT test is passed without problem, but the kit is marked to work at 7-8-7-24-2T @1.6v.

Some sets (sticks) are a little stronger than others), if your set is one of those and can run 1T, even better, it provides a slight performance increase
