  • Time For Help F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM and Asus Maxiums III Formula

    Hi
I am looking for timings and settings. Looked through the thread tried different settings no go time to ask for help. The techs here are good always help out. I can get my CPU 4.0 (air cooled) at stock mem speed but if I do anything with the mem I get BSOD. I can get mem to 1800 with CPU at 3.5 but still a little flakey. Is it best to go lower CPU higher mem or vice versa. Should I loosen timings? to get both. If I have to I will enter all manually. Would like to push both to the max.

Thanks to all who can help

1800 is awful good for 1600 sticks. Taking the CPU higher will show the best performance. If you want higher on your sticks may want to loosen the timings, maybe start at 8-8-8-24 2T, if need could add juice from 1.65 to 1.7, will take closer look this PM or if GSkill gets in they could maybe go more into depth

I will loosen timings today and see what happens and post back. Had to lower mem to 1740 but CPU at 3.6. If you think if anything else that would be great.

      Again
Thanks to all and for your time

See how it goes and I'll think on it, have to run out to to site where I have a job going and check progress as well as drop a quote at another, but I'll be back on the boards later this PM

IMC is high for DDR3-1800. Use AUTO instead, then see what the motherboard sets it to. This motherboard can do DDR3-2400 easy without voltage changes.

          Thank you
