  • Proper settings for F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ at 1333?

OK, I know I'm going to sound a little off, but I actually want to run 2 sets (4 sticks) of F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ at 1333 instead of 1600.

The reason I'm asking is that with all four slots filled, I'm afraid that between the AMD cpu and the motherboard memory controller that I may over tax the system.
The board is an ASRock 770 EXTREME3 AM3, and the CPU is an AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz.

So what should the proper voltage and timings be in the bios to run all these at 1333?

(And if I'm just being paranoid, do you think I can run all 4 of these at 1600 with no problems?)

    Thanks for any help,

    Elwin

No, you're exactly on the money.

Use 8-8-8-24 timings and it should be just as fast as DDR3-1600 CL9 without the stress on your CPU.

    Thank you
