  • Asus P7P55D-E and Dual Channel DDR3-1600

What does the following statement from the Asus manual mean?

"According to Intel spec definition, DDR3-1600 is supported for one DIMM per channel
only. ASUS exclusively provides two DDR3-1600 DIMM support for each memory
    channel."

Does that with an Asus board you can use all four DIMM slots with DDR3-1600 ram?

Due to a faulty motherboard I have to buy a new board.
I am considering buying a P7P55D-E Pro to go along with my I5 and GSKILL F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL DDR3-1600 2048MBx2.

Yes, funny how they say "exclusively", in actuality it is because the P55 chipset that is easily capable of DDR3-1600+ with full slots. We have tested 8GB DDR3-2200 no problem with an i7 860 CPU.

You will have no problems with two kits of the F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL, but hopefully at least you have the i5 750, anything lower may be more difficult to stabilize.

    Thank you

I have the i5-760. Thanks! I'll get me another motherboard here.
