Memory Hieght Issue

I'm planning on using 8 gigs of G.SKILL Ripjaws Series F3-12800CL7D 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600.

I want to use it with the Gigabyte P55A UD3 motherboard and a ZALMAN CNPS10X Performa 120mm cooler. I've read that this cooler sometimes blocks the RAM slots and only has room for low-clearance RAM.

What is the height of this particular memory, and do you know if it will fit with this mobo + cooler?

If no one from GSkill answers before the end of today, I'll measure a stick tonight when I get back to the shop.

The heat spreaders on the Ripjaws aren't that tall (nothing like the Tridents).

Great thanks. It would really suck to buy 8 gigs of Ram and a $50 cooler just to have them be incompatible!

From top of RAM heatsinks to bottom of PCB the RAM is 1 9/16" tall. If you have around 1 1/2" clearance you'll be fine

Great thanks! So I'll go ahead and email the company or check the product specs or try to find the manual somewhere for the clearance of the Zalaman 10x Performa 120mm cooler.

I think the manufacturer is from Taiwan, so I need to calc the metric measurements, I think 1 9/16 inches = ~39/40 mm.

Ah OK the ZALMAN def won't fit w/ those... I'll just have to get a different one, there are tons of choices so no worries! Thanks for the help or else I'd be in trouble once all my parts arrived and they wouldn't fit!
