    My memory: Dual Channel, 2, 2 gig DDR3-2000, PC3 16000

        I don't think it has anything to do with the RAM.

        The problem is that Windows hasn't set your hibernation file to the same size as the physical amount of RAM installed in your system.

        To fix this;

        1.Open a command prompt window with elevated administrator privileges.
        2.Type the following command "powercfg /hibernate /size 100" without the quotations and then press enter

        Reboot and see what happens.

        Regards,

        JW

            What power plan setting are you using in Windows 7?
            Also please post the complete BSOD error/exception code.

            Thanks.

                As a test..................

                Change power plan setting to high performance
                Go to 'change plan settings'
                Click on 'change advanced settings'

                Scroll down to Sleep
                Sleep after [never]
                Allow hybrid sleep [on]
                Hybernate after [choose a value]

                Scroll down to power buttons and lid
                Change all options to hibernate instead of sleep

                Save changes, reboot and see if that helps

                  Didn't work.

                  The cpu now runs a disk check when i reboot.

                  "Dear Customer

                  Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. If you have an aftermarket motherboard, you should be able to manually configure memory settings in BIOS, including the timings. Simply set tCL 9 - tRCD 9 - tRP 9 - tRAS 24 - Command Rate 2, and everything should be fine. If you are unsure of what the BIOS is, please refer to your motherboard user's manual for details.

                  Thank you
                  GSKILL SUPPORT"

                  I saw this review on Newegg. Any thoughts?

                      If it were me, I'd start from scratch.

                      Minimum hardware build;

                      Motherboard
                      CPU
                      Memory (1 stick only at this time)
                      VGA Card
                      Hard Drive (1)
                      Optical Drive (1)
                      Monitor (1)

                      While you're tearing down for a minimum hardware build move your cmos jumper to clear and remove the cmos battery.

                      Once you're down to a minimum hardware build move the cmos jumper back to save and reinstall the cmos battery.

                      Boot the PC, enter BIOS and load bios defaults

                      Go to Memory Timings and manually enter the four primary memory timings and command rate;
                      These can be found on the memory modules or at G.Skill's website

                      Go to Voltage control and manually enter the DRAM Voltage;
                      This can be found on the memory modules or G.Skill's website

                      Change memory multiplier from [Auto] to [13]

                      Save changes, exit bios and run memtest

                      Also - please provide full part number for your memory so i can double check settings.

                      If you pass and extended run of Memtest then reformat your hard drive and install windows. After windows is installed, updates and drivers installed, then run OCCT blend test for two hours and see if it passes. If it does go ahead and add last stick of memory, and start connecting remaining periphals. Double checking along the way that there aren't any errors.

                      Regards,
