  • memory upgrade for mac

    i have a macbook pro 2010 i5 ,looking to upgrade the memory from 4 to 6gb
    question is can i used a new 4gb ram and left the old 2gb will they be compatible to work and
    2nd is
    will this work on my macbook pro?

    Do you know the speed, timings and recommended DRAM voltage for the memory that is already in your mac? Need to know these values in order to recommend a compatible expansion kit.

    I'm assuming you have free DIMM slots on the notebook's motherboard?

        Either of those kits would work fine. If it were me I'd go with the least expensive of the two. Who needs "Apple/Mac" certified. Sounds like a marketing scheme to me
