  • [ Ripjaws] F3-10666CL8D-4GBRM (2Gx2) settings for MSI 785GM-E65

Hello gskill support, as the titles says, how can I set my newly purchased [ Ripjaws] F3-10666CL8D-4GBRM (2Gx2) for my MSI 785GM-E65?

When I checked, the clock my motherboard detected was 9-9-9-24.

Also, do I need to put on dual channel like this? |-|-
or should I follow the motherboard and put it in a single channel like this ||--

thank you so much in advance for helping

Simply set the timings to tCL 8 - tRCD 8 - tRP 8 - tRAS 24 in BIOS.

Yes, the memory should be in dual channel |-|-

    Slot 1 and Slot 2.

    Thank you

In the first picture your Command Rate is set to 2T

In the second picture your Command Rate is set to 1T

          That's the difference.

Your manual says Dual Channel is ||-- so leave it as it is. And if it's stable at 1T, leave it since you get a small performance boost.

Interestingly, both configurations are still dual channel... not sure if that's a glitch or what.

Yes I know, I thought that was weird too. Even though I set ganged or unganged in the bios, it will always be detected as unganged. Well anyway, probably is my bios version or something.

Does anyone have an idea how to check the latest bios version for a motherboard?

BIOS revision level will show during the boot post. Or you can use Everest or CPUz to display in it a more user friendly GUI.

CPUz is cheap (free) and easy.............. After you get it just click on the "Mainboard" tab and you'll see your motherboard BIOS revision level.
