        New stable configuration

        Asus P7P55 LX
        8 GB F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD
        i5 750
        ------------
        XMP Mode

        DDR3 = 2000 @ 8-9-8-20
        CPU = 4200
        Cpu V = 1.325
        Imc (VTT) = 1.30
        Dram V = 1.65

        Load Line Calibration = enabled
        PCIE Spread = disabled
        Xtreme Phase = enabled

        CPU Temp: Prime95 = ~65C

        I could probably tweak it a bit more but this is sweet enough for me.

              Problems with RAM.

              I am having an issue with our ASUS P7P55 LX M/B. We have purchased several F3-10666CL7D-4GBECO in packs of two in order to upgrade our systems to 8GB. When I insert all 4 sticks into the channels, the pc opens but i get nothing. The screen just stays black forever. The memtest light is always red. When I take out a stick from either A2 or B2 the system boots (although when i go into bios-system info its only showing 2GB and in windows 7 64bit it shows as 4GB installed RAM) but I physically have 3X2GB sticks. I have tried changing settins in the BIOS (tried everything nearly but whenever 4 sticks is inserted, it just does not work!). When there are only 2 sticks in A1 and B1, the system shows 4GB in BIOS and Windows. Can you please help in this issue.

                Did you input settings, then try 8GB?

                Thank you

                  I did.

                  I tried changing the CAS Latency everything that could possibly come to mine including updating to the latest version. What I might try is another M/B which is the same. The only difference is that it has 32bit O/S. But this should not matter as the BIOS should at least pick it up.

                    Problem found

                    I tried the same 4 sticks in an identical board and everything is working A OK...recognises 8GB (4X2GB). After taking out the m/b from the machine that wasn't working and having a close inspection of it, I found that in Channel B2 there were bent pins. One of them were actually touching each other. Took out the plastic cover and tried to straighten them out but to no avail. They are very fragile. and a couple of the broke....at least no pins are now touching. Still if I put only 3 sticks (A1, A2 & B1) it only shows 2GB in bios. But in windows its better as it was showing 4GB but only 2GB usable. Now it actually has the 4GB....
