  • Underclocking F3-16000CL9T-6GBRH on GA-X58A-UD3R

Hi, I have the G.Skill Ripjaws 2000mhz (F3-16000CL9T-6GBRH) and would like to know if there is a best setting to under clock it to 1600mhz?

    Motherboard: GA-X58A-UD3R Rev2.0
    CPU: i7 930 D0
    Ram: F3-16000CL9T-6GBRH

    Thank you in advance!

      Sorry about the delay.

7-7-7-21 should be no problem at DDR3-1600. Can be lower, but you will need to test that.

Will I need to do any changes to the DRAM voltage and the QPI/VTT Voltage? Or do I just leave them on auto? Last of all, what command rate should i use 1,2 or 3? Thank you

No, the motherboard should be able to support enough, but if you'd like, you can test for the lowest stable voltage and manually set it. This would be ideal.

You can try command rate 1, if that doesnt work, use 2.

              Thank you
