I have a relatively new Inspiron 17R that I am considering maxing the memory on. The specs for the Dell "Certified" are DDR3 SDRAM, SO-DIMM 204-Pin, 1333 MHz (PC3-10600), Non-ECC. If I am understanding the descriptions correctly, the G.Skill F3-10600CL9S-4GBSQ matches up.
First-Am I correct that this is a match, or is there some other spec I am missing here?
Second-Is there any reason I should be paying 4x as much for the Dell "Certified"?
Third-The site offering the G.Skill also offers an 8G pack with 2 fours (F3-10600CL9D-8GBSQ) for a little more than twice the price of a 4G. Any upside to purchasing the 8G set instead of two 4s?
