  • F3-16000CLT9T-6GBTD + Gigabyte X58A-UD3R Revision 2

I tried several bios configurations for F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD to 2000 Mhz. These are working for test programs like Everest Ultimate etc. But most of them not work for me. Because while when i use render software (3ds Max Design 2011 + vray sp5, modo, Fryrender etc.) system hung, BSOD or booting itself. At the end of i have been begin the use this configuration,
    everything is optimize setting except,
    Extreme Memory Profile - Disabled
    System Memory Multiplier - 12
    DRAM Voltage - 1.600 V
Because stability most important thing while rendering.
Could someone any advise to about bios configuration.

Did you set the QPI/VTT Voltage? Enable XMP Profile, set QPI/VTT Voltage, and everything should be fine. You need to find the lowest stable value for QPI/VTT Voltage.

    Thank you

      I think solved?

Sorry late sharing my experience. Because i must finish some project.
I tried some QPI/VTT Voltage but result was not success. At the end of gigabyte published "FB" revision of bios forX58A-UD3R Rev2. I tested. I changed only XMP to "profile1". Viola System not crush, BSOD or cold boot at everest FPU Julia and Modo 401 render. I will give information for other software like 3ds Max Design 2011 etc...

Glad to hear. I overlooked that you had the oldest BIOS. ;-)

felid - you absolutely positively MUST increase the QPI/VTT voltage to get stability.

It will need to be at least 1.475 and may require even more than that to get complete system stability. In most cases you'll be looking at the 1.475 - 1.55v range to get complete system stability. Start at 1.475v and work your way up from there if you keep getting BSOD.

Also increase DRAM Voltage to 1.62-1.64v

After this you should be set.

            Regards,
