May I carefully bend the fins to one side so I may fit the RAM and my CPU cooler on the same motherboard without voiding my RAM's warranty? As long as I don't break the seals on the ram or expose the actual PCB or anything any competent modder knows is wrong does it really matter?
Everyone knows the tall "cooling" fins cause difficulties with most after market cpu coolers. Many also know the "cooling" fins are primarily for aesthetic/marketing purposes.
I was curious if the warranty will still be intact if I modify the rather unnecessary "cooling" fins attached to most of the RAM modules.
