Hi,
My Config -
MB - Gigabyte GA 785GMT-USB3
CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 945 Processor 3.0 Ghz
RAM - F3-10600CL9S-2GBNT
BIOS Settings - Stock , updated to f3 bios
Overclocking - No component oc'ed
GPU - Zotac GeForce GT 240 (disconnected to isolate components causing the problem)
Onboard ATI Radeon HD 4200 (both config I get the same problem)
OS - Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit & Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 32 bit
HDD - Western Digital Blue 320 Gb
As others have mentioned in the forum I am also having the cold boot issue. The system behaves wierdly (bsod in windows, random segvs in linux) during the first boot. I fiddle with ram settings or reseat my ram again and things start to work properly till the next time i do cold boot. Memtest86+ finds no errors on the ram.
I see in this post GSkill admin suggesting to rma the ram as its a known issue.
What should I do ? Please advise quickly as I am without a machine.
Thanks,
sandic
