I've been struggling with what appears to be a memory issue with a newly purchased kit.
Mother board: Asus P6X58D Premium
CPU: Intel i7 980x
(2) G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9T-12GBRL
Asus Matrix 5870
I've set it all up, only to run into an issue where the memory light stays on constantly. I've attempted a single stick and switch out each of them, but the memory light continues to stay lit, along with a horrible noise.
Anyways, i've tried just about everything, but can't even get the system to post.
Seems like the memory is not compatibly with the board, even thought the gskill site says it is. Any thoughts?
Paul.
