  • Lowest Latency @ 1600Mhz on Trident F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD

Hey, I was wondering how low the G.SKILL Trident 4GB Model F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD kit can go with latencies at 1600Mhz and still be completely stable. I will be using an i5 750 on the P55 chipset.

The lowest will be 6-7-6-18, so start from 7-7-7-21 and work your way down.

    Thank you

Thanks, which number in the latencies matters the most? I will be gaming if that helps.

The first has the most impact as far as performance, but in real world you won't notice much of a difference between 6-7-6-18 and 7-7-7-21

so do you recommend going for lowest latencies at 1600MHz for gaming or going for higher latencies at 2000Mhz with the Trident F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD kit?

For gaming, DDR3-1600 with low latency should be good enough, although for max performance DDR3-2000 would be best. If you decide to OC the CPU, use DDR3-2000. If not, DDR3-1600 will be fine.

I'm probably going to OC later down the road for max performance but I am definately getting these Tridents! THanks!
