AMD PIIX4 965 140w TDP / Asus Crosshair IV Formula / F3-12800CL7D-4GBRH

My CPU is the AMD Phenom II X4 965 140 watt TDP, my motherboard is an Asus Crosshair IV Formula and the memory I am running is 2 packs of F3-12800CL7D-4GBRH.

Are there any other helpful settings to get these stable at the settings included on the packaging?

Besides the basic memory settings, you may need to increase CPU-NB Voltage to stabilize 8GB at this spec. Also, 8-8-8-24 may be easier to stabilize.

Would you recommend the same settings for a 1090T? Is the IMC in this chip any more powerful when compared to a 965?

No, most 1090T's will have no problems with DDR3-1600. The IMC is much better than the 965.
