  • ga-h55m-usb3 and F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO

I bought this eco 4gb kit since it is on the list of gigabyte's tested memory list. When I installed them into my mobo, it will not post. I already tried 2 different psu and 2 different h55m-usb3 boards and it does the same thing. no video at all. already tried everything from reseating the cpu, unplugging everything but 1 stick of ram, psu, still get the same no video.

any help is much appreciated. I am wondering if this kit is just not compatible with the board or I have doa ram. Thanx.

It is surely compatible, send the memory in for new replacements to see if it works better.

    Thank you

      @G.Skill_Tech
I'm using same type of motherboard and memory...

I'm having problem making the memory run in 1600MHz.
Somewhat having same problem like this post:
      http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthrea...ight=h55m-usb3

I can't make the Board accept the XMP = profile 1
Tells that the system has experienced boot failures....

The DRAM Voltage runs at 1.584... should it be lower since it's ECO? 1.35V?
tCL tRCD tRP tRAS tRRD tWTP tRFC tCMD
      Channel A&B 9 9 9 24 4 21 74 1 should be 7-8-7-24?

I wonder how can I setup my Memory to the fullest...

Now, I'm also encountering COLD BOOT?
Keyboard, Mouse not responding on 1st Boot after Shutdown...
Can't even get to BIOS settings and slow boot-up, sometimes doesn't even boot.

      Help please.
What should be my BIOS Setup...

      BTW, here my PC specs:
      MB: Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3
      CPU: Intel? Core i7 860
      CPU COOLER: Scythe Yasha
      RAM: 4gb ddr3-1600 G.Skill ECO (F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO) CL7

Are you able to set DRAM Voltage to 1.35V? This motherboard may be limited to 1.50V.

        Thank you

Tried it by selecting the profile1 + adjusting the DRAM Voltage to 1.3...
Board simply wouldn't accept the changes and still runs at 1.585.
Maybe, the Memory isn't perfectly compatible with the board.
          Still same Problem...

I've reset by CMOS and fixed the Keyboard and Mouse thing,
But as soon as I set profile1... I'm back from everything...

          Sigh... :'(

Try manual settings, overclock the memory to DDR3-1800, and 1.50V should work fine.

Otherwise, you may need to exchange for 1.50V memory as the H55 doesn't seem to support it.

Keep me posted on the results.

As per the timings and Voltage of others? Should I leave it auto?
Are you using Test PC's with same board and memory? Hope you are...
At least you could also verify our experiences with it.

Yes, other timings and voltage can be AUTO. We do not have a H55 motherboard at this location, but I will see if I can attain one.

                Thank you

                  I'm Back...
As per the Gigabyte's forum support...
My power supply might not be enough, so i ordered a new PSU
Now that I've got my new PSU. Corsair HX650, i'm pretty sure this is enough.

Bad News Thou.. Still doesn't Work!!! Still getting the same errors...
                  EEEERRRR....

                  Ow men.... :'(

Haven't tried overclocking the memory to DDR3-1800...
Reason why is I tried overclocking the processor to BCLK to 160 so that Memory would automatically run at 1600Mhz and set the Timing to 7-8-7-24, DRAM Voltage to 1.30Mhz
                  Still didn't work.
I'm afraid that I might actually damage my whole system by simply overclocking it to DDR3-1800...

I only make the system run perfectly at all default setting...
                  useless profile1...

I feel like the motherboard isn't completely compatible with the board...
                  What a waste of money...

OK! got my guts to try to run it at 1800Mhz, it turned out that Memory SPD can only be set to max at 12, running the memory up to 1600Mhz only.

                    1800Mhz, not an option...

                      Right... 133 x 12 = DDR3-1600.

                      So increase BCLK to 150, 150 x 12 = DDR3-1800

DRAM Voltage 1.50V, and everything should operate fine.

                      Thank you

BTW, do you already have a board same as mine? Your own test bay?

Here's my spec: (maybe it could help a bit in our diagnosis)

This is my standard setting right now... Which is the only way to make it run properly...
