Hi. I'm a newbie to technical stuff. I've been having blue screens in windows 7 and a microsoft guy has suggested I check the RAM settings in the BIOS as the auto settings in gigabyte boards are not always correct. The crashes happen on 1st boot during startup. But if I shutdown, wait 10 secs and reboot, it all seems to work fine.
Motherboard: GA-P55M-UD2
Memory: 2 x F3-10600CL9D-2GBNQ
CPU: Intel Core i5 750
Graphics: 1 GB ATI Radeon HD 5750
I haven't actually looked in the bios yet, but I saw some other threads refer to CPU-Z, so I installed that and it shows:
DRAM 666.2 MHz
FSB: DRAM 2:10
CL 9.0
tRCD 9
tRP 9
tRAS 24
tRFC 74
CR 1
Does that mean everything's ok?
