Mobo: ASUS P6TD Deluxe
RAM: G.Skill NQ (G Skill F3-12800CL9-2GBNQ)
CPU: i7 930
PSU: Antec Quattro 1000
First of all, i'd like to say thanks for your time.
I'm having the issue that it seems thousands of people re having where only 4 GB of ram is detected on a COLD boot. When one leaves it as 4GB detected, the system is very unstable and will get a blue screen < 5 minutes.
This doesn't happen just on 1600 for me, but also on 1066 or 1333.
I must of read this page 50 times: http://i4memory.com/ramdetect/
Things i've done so far:
- Updated the bios to the newest version
- Mucked around with voltages over and over again (AI Tweaker posted below)
- Reseated CPU
- Rotated each ram stick
- ON morning, tested each ramstick cold in A1 to see if they would post, they did.
- Performed memtest -- crashed instantly when opening it. (rebooted) Should be noted, i've tried an ubuntu live CD memtest and a memtest downloaded and burned. Both had the same result.
