  • F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH and P55A-UD4,lot of BOSD in 8 Gb configuration

Hello, I'm Luca froma Italy. I have builded a new PC with

    Gigabyte P55A-UD4 (BIOS version F10)
    2X 4Gb ripjaws 1333 timing 7-7-7-21
    Intel i7 860 no OC
radeon 5770 1Gb (if can be usefull this information)

I have set the timings by myself (7-7-7-21) other timings I have set on [AUTO], I'm not using XMP. And the other BIOS parameters are setted like I have readed in this forum.

The problem is that this configuration may not be stable, and the PC is restarting many times with BOSD (MEMORY MANAGEMENT).

I have made a lot of tests with memetest86, memtest (run under Wondows), and LinX:
    - tested each ram stick alone
    - tested 2 sticks toghether
    - tested all 4 sticks toghether

And nothing is showed by any sofware
I've tried to change QPI/VVT voltage, but nothing. Now it is running with default settings

With "only" 4Gb of RAM the PC is stable

How I have to do for fix this situation? I don't think that there are some defective sticks

    Please, I need Help.

    Thanks

    Luca

What did you try for QPI/VTT? Try XMP and see how that works. Let me know the results.

      well, for QPI/VTT I have tried some values between 1.1 and 1.31 like 1.15 - 1.17 - 1.25 - 1.31. I Haven't tested each value for a long time, when I received a BOSD generally I changed value...In your opinion which value can be a good candidate?
Tomorrow, I will tray with XMP.

I will tell you how that works.

      Thanks

well, after my tests, nothing is changed . In first time I have thinked that's worked fine, but none, I've recived a BOSD.
Put the QPI/VVT to 1.21 but nothing.

The system, with 8 Gb don't work fine, with 4 yes....

I have discovered also another thing:
with the DOS command "fc /b", that perform a file comparation, I made a test with two identical ISO (5 Gb). Well, when I have RAM problems (configurazion with 8 GB), the fc report show a lot of difference. Instead, when I have a stable configurazion (4Gb), the report show NO DIFFERENCE.
I use also this like test.

        Another possible solution?

        Thanks! Have a nice day!

        Luca

          sorry, another little question:

what mean the BIOS option "Performance Enhance"?

What is the correct set point?

          Thanks!

Post pictures of the BIOS and I can see what may be set incorrectly.

              Thank you
