  • Memory 2G DDR3 1600Mhz Vs 2133Mhz Diffrence And Performance

Model of the motherboard: Asus Maximum III Formula
    Model of the memory: G.SKILL DDR3-1600 16000 4GB(2GB x 2)
Model of the CPU: Intel Core i7-870 Lyndfield 2.93GHz LGA 1156

I Plan To Upgrade My Motherboard Memory From 1600Mhz To 2133Mhz, Would Like Some Advice Is Recommanded To Upgrade? How Is The Performance And Diffrence? Will My Motherboard Auto Detect 2133Mhz?

Your motherboard and CPU can sure handle it. This motherboard is specifically made for our high performance modules, so DDR3-2133 and even DDR3-2400 can be AUTO detected with the XMP Profile.

The difference from 1600 to 2133 is a good amount, but especially if you overclock the CPU too, it will be MUCH faster.

My recommendation is 4.0GHz with DDR3-2133+, and this will be fast enough for many years to come.

I would definitely suggest an aftermarket CPU cooler to handle the CPU overclock and also the high memory frequency. This way you can be cooler than stock, but operate at near max frequencies.

    Thank you
