  • Recommended settings to achieve 1600Mhz?

    Hi,

    I was hoping to receive some advice or a starting point for BIOS setting to achieve a 1600MHz frequency with my memory. I tried posting here some time ago and got some valuable help. Unfortunately, having a bad stick of RAM didn't really help the process . The bad RAM has been replaced and I'd like to take another crack at hitting the rated speeds.

    Here are my specs:

    Intel i7 920
    Gigabyte EX58-UD4P Mobo - BIOS F13
    12gb of F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ RAM
    XFX GTX-260 896mb Black Edition GPU
    Windows Vista x64

    I am not overclocking at the moment, but recently read that OC'ing / raising the BCLK is required on the 920 in order to hit rated speeds above 1066. As such, I'm ok with doing a mild OC if necessary.

    My initial thoughts would be settings that may look like the following:

    CPU Clock Ratio = x20

    BCLK = 160

    Uncore Freq. = x20
    QPI Link Speed = x36
    Performance Enhance = Turbo

    Memory Mulitiplier = x10
    XMP Profile = Profile1 (which gives the timings below)
    DRAM Timing Selectable = Auto
    --------------------------
    CAS Latency - 9
    tRCD - 9
    tRP - 9
    tRAS - 24
    Command Rate - 2
    -------------------------

    As for voltages, I'm not sure where to begin. Would they perhaps look something like this?

    CPU VCore = 1.3V
    QPI/VTT Voltage = 1.24V
    CPU PLL = 1.8V
    IOH = Auto
    ICH = Auto

    DRAM Voltage - 1.56V

    Am I on the right track? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Everything is spot on, how is the system running?

    Thank you
