  • F3-12800cl9d-4gbnq + 790xta-ud4

Model of the motherboard: Gigabyte 790xta-ud4
Model of the memory: f3-12800cl9d-4gbnq 2x2Gb
Model of the CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE 3.4Ghz

I was reading the sticky about problems with the memory controllers on the Phenom II. Does this apply to the 965 BE?

What are the optimal settings for my setup? I have set it to 9-9-9-24 on 1600 unganged with the voltage at DRAM voltage at 1.5v. What other settings should I modify?

I have been having trouble running 3dmark06 all the way through and was told that RAM can cause the error I'm getting. "Device driver has failed and recovered." I am running Windows 7 64 bit if that helps you at all. I have tried running as 1333 and 1066 and it didn't make a difference. I also ran Memtest 86+ 4.0 with no errors and Windows Memory Diagnostic with no errors. Pretty sure the RAM is ok just want to make sure I get my BIOS settings correct for this setup.

    Thanks,
    Jacob

C2 revision CPUs have problems, where as C3 do not.

The settings are indeed correct. That is an odd error message though, that doesn't seem memory related.

    Thank you

There are so many setting for the Ram what should the other ones be? Besides the 9-9-9-24 and voltage.

AUTO, they will detect properly as long as you have the basic settings.
