  • DDR3 Tripple Channel Question

    Hello.
    The model:
    F3-16000CL9T-3GBPI-B

Is capable to do TRIPPLE channel and 2000mhz if i put 6x1GB ?

    Other Question:
Is there any model for 12GB TRIPPLE CHANNEL 2000mhz?
I will be running a Asus Rampage II or a EVGA Classified 3-Way.
    Thanks

I would suggest using 3 x 2GB instead as 6 sticks places a tremendous amount of load on the memory controller. You will not be able to operate DDR3-2000 without a HIGH QPI/VTT Voltage, and by using 6 sticks, it adds more stress to that even further.

If you are looking for 12GB, I would suggest the G.Skill F3-10666CL9T2-12GBNQ.

Or if you're looking for something a llittle more aggressive:

    F3-12800CL7T2-12GBPI

No, with the i7 920, I doubt you can do 12GB at DDR3-2000 being perfectly stable. Currently, we do not have 12GB DDR3-2000 options available (for a reason). The best 2000 kit would be the Trident 2000.

Unfortunately I haven't tested, so I can't say whether or not it will handle more.
