Hello,
i use my Rampage II Extreme with 2x2GB G.Skill F3-10600CL9D-4GBNT CL9-9-9-24 1.5V in Slot A1/B1. CPU I7 975. BIOS newest (1639).
BIOS and W7 only recognize 2 GB. swapping the modules leads to same effect.
BUT CPU-Z shows both modules in W7 !!!.
BIOS says in DRAM TIMING CONTROL : 9-9-9-24-4-74-10-7-20-0
Everything set to AUTO. DRAM Bus-Voltage is 1.6 V. Changing to 1.5V doesn't change anything.
Placing modules in B1/C1 is showing 4 GB in BIOS and W7.
Booting with only one module is only possible in B1/C1 not A1.
Is my A1 broken or can i change some settings ?
Afterwards i tested each module with memtest86+ 4.00 getestet. one module is ok the other one shows 2 failures.
Can i send them to g.skill with RMA or do i have to send them to my vendor ?
Or should i buy other memory ?
Thanks
Joe
