So lately I have an extremely strange issue with my computer.
My Configs: AMD Phenom II x3 720 @ 2.8GHz, 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 RAM (F3-10666CL8D-4GBHK), Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P (Rev 1.0) Motherboard, Nvidia 9800GT 512mb graphics card and windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, Rosewill 585W power supply, CoolerMaster Centurion 5 case, Western Digital 500GB HDD, 1 Samsung DVD/cd drive.
The Issue: Windows (or i've tried windows xp pro SP3, and windows 7) gives me BSOD everytime after i shutdown the computer overnight (more than say approx. 5-6hrs). The error message that I receive varies everytime. Sometimes i get Memory_management error, Memory dump etc. etc. And than I re-seat the RAM and computer starts working normally without any issues. But the problem comes back once I shutdown the computer for more than 5 hrs or so.
Note BSOD only comes up when the computer is off for more than 5 or 6 hrs. (I have tried booting after about 3hrs and have not had any problems.
The Remedies tried: I have tried upgrading (and downgrading) the bios to no avail. I have tried resetting cmos battery. I have tried multiple reformats to no use. I have even tried ubuntu linux but even ubuntu hangs up. I have tried memtest86+ v4.00 and have seen different results.
When I run memtest after the computer has been shutdown overnight, I get TONS (more than 50 thousand) errors. However if I run memtest after re-seating the ram there are no errors.
The Question: I want to know what the problem is and how to fix it.
EDIT: The Problem is fixed now. I got newegg to replace the RAM and everything is working fine. Thanks guys for helping out.
